Puppy Love Scrapbook Layout

Some dogs seem to have two speeds: full throttle and sound asleep. Puppy Love is all about capturing the big personality that can come wrapped up in four paws, a wagging tail, and absolutely no understanding of personal space. This layout brings together favorite photos from different moments to celebrate the lovable character behind them.

The Story Behind the Layout

From the day my daughter brought him home, Chance has lived life at full speed. If there’s a ball to chase, he’s already halfway across the yard, and if someone says “Starbucks,” he knows there could be a Puppuccino in his immediate future. Somehow, despite growing into a very large dog, Chance is completely convinced he still belongs in your lap. These photos capture just a little of the energy, silliness, and larger-than-life personality that make him so loved.

A Peek at the Recipe

The playful border across the bottom of Puppy Love gave me a place to have a little extra fun with this design. Instead of using patterned paper, I filled the space with dog-themed shapes, words, bones, hearts, and other little details that work together like a pattern of their own. It’s an easy idea to customize, too. Change the images, repeat a few favorite colors, and you can create a border that fits whatever story you’re telling.

Love creating this way?

Sketch & Savor takes the guesswork out of your next scrapbook page. You’ll get ready-to-use scrapbook recipes with the sketch, measurements, creative guidance, and story inspiration already figured out, so you can spend less time wondering what to make and more time actually making it.

Dogs don’t care whether the photo is perfectly posed, the background is messy, or somebody forgot to look at the camera. So maybe we shouldn’t either. Gather up those favorite dog photos, put them on a page, and make room in the album for the four-legged members of the family, too.

Now go scrapbook the dog. He already thinks everything is about him anyway. ☕✂️
